Thom is elated when the League, the foremost organization of superheroes, invites him to join as a probationary member. Moore (an executive producer of the Chronicles of Narnia films) gives his debut novel a contemporary setting, albeit one rife with superheroes and villains straight out of the Golden Age of comic books. "With a mother who has inexplicably disappeared, nascent superpowers and a burgeoning understanding of his gay sexuality, Thom Creed's life is anything but normal. Very much recommended by me, especially to readers who like comics. It got mixed reviews by critics but.whatever!. Although not terribly original, it is, however, a fun read. It reminded me of Pixar's "the Incredibles" universe so much that I feel it's almost like fanfiction.very well written fanfiction. Hero by Perry Moore is, by far, the most adorable gay book that I've come across.
